Doctors in Distress

Doctors in Distress is a charity which works with doctors and healthcare workers to prevent suicide and to provide a space for support and mental health help.

This is a matter very close to my heart as my husband Dan is in fact a doctor, and has been on the frontline during this whole pandemic, so seeing the effects this has had on him and other NHS staff has been really troubling. It was then of course my joy to be able to work with them on the redesign of their new website.

Previously built on Squarespace, their website lacked a clear navigational path, and it was difficult to find any information. We started from scratch on WordPress (where else) and developed a site which encouraged users to donate, and made it clear for doctors to find help, or donatees to find the information they need.

Now, the website is a lot more visually attractive, fast, optimised for search engines and most importantly, showcases what the charity is all about.

& After.

I’ve worked with Alice for a number of years across a diverse range of projects spanning everything from social media management to design.

She is always a delight to work with, calm under pressure, willing to tackle any challenge, creative and obviously very talented.
